General information
Based on article 13 of the Swiss Constitution and federal provisions under data protection law (Swiss Data Protection Act / DPA and Data Protection Ordinance / DPO), every person is entitled to protect their private sphere and protect against their personal data being misused. The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data extremely seriously. We process your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this data protection declaration.
When working with our hosting providers, we strive to protect databases as much as possible from third-party access, loss, misuse or falsification.
We would like to point out that transferring data online (e.g. when communicating by email) may lead to gaps in security. It is not possible to fully protect data from access by third parties.
By using this website, you declare you agree with data being collected, processed and used according to the following description. This website can generally be visited without registration. In doing so, data such as the pages visited or the name of the files viewed and dates and times may be saved on the server for statistical purposes without this data directly relating to your person. Personal data, in particular names, addresses and email addresses, are collected as far as possible on a voluntary basis. We do not forward your data to third parties without your consent.
Processing personal data
Personal data is all information relating to an identified or identifiable person. A data subject is a person whose personal data is processed. Processing includes every time personal data is handled, regardless of the means and procedures applied, in particular storing, disclosing, supplying, deleting, saving, changing, destroying and using personal data.
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss data protection law. To the extent that the GDPR applies, we also process personal data in accordance with the following legal bases in connection with article 6(1) GDPR:
- a) Processing personal data with the consent of the data subject.
- b) Processing personal data in order to fulfil an agreement with the data subject and to carry out the relevant pre-contractual measures.
- c) Processing personal data in order to meet a legal obligation to which we are subject in accordance with, if necessary, applicable EU law or, if necessary, in accordance with the applicable law of a country in which the GDPR fully or partially applies.
- d) Processing personal data in order to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person.
- f) Processing personal data in order to safeguard our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of third parties, provided they do not outweigh the essential rights and freedoms and interests of the data subject. Legitimate interests are in particular our business interests, being able to provide our website, information security, enforcing our own legal claims and compliance with Swiss law.
We process personal data for any duration required for the relevant purpose or purposes. In the event of longer storage obligations due to statutory and other obligations to which we are subject, we limit processing accordingly.
Data protection declaration for cookies
This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that make it possible to save specific information relating to the user on the user's end device when they use the website. Cookies in particular enable the frequency of use and number of users of the website to be determined and the behaviour of website use to be analysed; they also enable a website to be designed in a more customer-friendly way. Cookies remain saved after the end of a browser session and can be viewed again if a user returns to the website. If you do not wish this to happen, you should configure your internet browser to refuse the acceptance of cookies.
A general rejection against the use of cookies used for online marketing purposes can be declared for a number of services, in particular in the case of tracking via the US site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. In addition, the saving of cookies can also be turned off in browser settings. Please note that it may then not be possible to use all of the functions of our website.
Further explanations about cookies, the cookies used and settings for them, can be found at the bottom of this page.
Data protection declaration for SSL encryption
For reasons of security and to protect the transfer of confidential content, such as the requests that you send to us as website operators, this website uses SSL encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection if the browser address bar changes from «http://» to «https://» and the padlock symbol appears in your browser line.
If SSL encryption is activated, the data you send us cannot be read by third parties.
Data protection declaration for server log files
The provider of this website automatically collects and saves information in server log files that your browser automatically sends us. These are
- the browser type and browser version
- the operating system used
- the referral URL
- the host name of the visiting computer
- the time of the server request
This data cannot be assigned to identified persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. We retain the right to subsequently check this data if we become aware of specific indications of illegal use.
Third-party services
Where necessary, these websites use Google Maps to embed maps, Google Invisible reCAPTCHA to protect against bots and spam, and YouTube and Vimeo to embed videos.
These services of the American company Google LLC use, inter alia, cookies and, as a result, data is sent to Google in the US where we assume that no personal tracking through the use of our website alone takes place in this context.
Google has undertaken to ensure an appropriate level of data protection in accordance with the American-European and American-Swiss Privacy Shield.
You can find more information on this subject in Google's data protection declaration.

Data protection declaration for Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, US. Google provides a browser plug-in to deactivate Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. Google Analytics uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that make it possible to save specific information relating to the user on the user's end device. This allows Google to analyse how our website is used. The information recorded by the cookie on the use of our website (including your IP address) is generally sent to a Google server in the US where it is saved. We would like to point out that Google Analytics is extended by the code «gat._anonymizeIp();» on this website in order to ensure IP addresses are recorded in anonymised form (known as IP masking). When anonymisation is active, Google abbreviates IP addresses within member states of the European Union or in another contractual states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, which means that your identity cannot be traced. Only in exceptional cases is a full IP address sent to a Google server in the US and then abbreviated. Google complies with the data protection provisions of the «Privacy Shield» agreement and is registered with the «Privacy Shield» programme of the US Ministry of Commerce; it uses the information collected in order to assess how our website is used, to prepare reports for us in this regard and to render other associated services for us. You can find out more information at https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.
Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager is a solution with which we can manage what are known as website tags via an interface and thus incorporate, for example, Google Analytics and other Google marketing services into our website. The Tag Manager itself, which implements the tags, does not process any personal data. With regard to the processing of personal data of users, please refer to the following information about Google services. Guidelines for use: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html.

If you have a Facebook account, this data can therefore be linked. If you would not like any of this data to be assigned to your Facebook account, please log out of Facebook before visiting our website. Data protection declaration for YouTube
This website uses plug-ins of the website YouTube, operated by Google. The website operator is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, US. If you visit our website fitted with a YouTube plug-in, a connection is made with YouTube servers. As a result, YouTube is informed of which of our sites you visited.
If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to assign your surfing habits to your personal profile directly. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Data protection declaration for Vimeo
This website includes plug-ins from the video portal Vimeo of Vimeo, LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, US. Any time you visit a website that shows one or more Vimeo video clips, a direct connection is made between your browser and a Vimeo server in the US, where information about your visit and your IP address is saved. By interacting with the Vimeo plug-in (e.g. by clicking on the start button), this information is also sent to Vimeo, where it is saved. You can find more information on the collection and use of your data by Vimeo in Vimeo’s data protection declaration at Vimeo data protection declaration.
If you have a Vimeo user account and do not want Vimeo to collect data about you from this website and link it to your member data saved with Vimeo, you must log out of Vimeo before visiting this website.
Moreover, Vimeo uses the Google Analytics tracker via an iFrame in which the video is viewed. This is Vimeo’s own tracking, which we do not have access to. You can prevent tracking by Google Analytics by using the deactivation tools that Google provides for some internet browsers. In addition, you can prevent the data generated by Google Analytics that relate to your use of the website (including your IP address) being recorded or processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available from the following link:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
Information regarding data being sent to the United States of America
For reasons of completeness, we would like to point out there are supervision measures from US authorities for users residing in Switzerland, which in general allow for personal data from Switzerland which is sent to the US to be saved.
This takes place without any differentiation, limitation or exception due to the objectives pursued and without any objective criterion that allows the access of the US authorities to the data and their later use for identified, strictly limited purposes to be restricted and which justifies the actions associated with the access to this data and its use. In addition, we would like to point out that there are no remedies in the US for data subjects from Switzerland that would allow you to access, correct or delete the data concerning you, and no effective judicial legal protection against the general access rights of US authorities. We would like to explicitly refer data subjects to this legal and factual situation so they can make an appropriately informed decision regarding consent to the use of their data.
For users residing in an EU member state, we would like to point out that the US does not have a sufficient level of data protection in the opinion of the European Union.
